Renier Lyces Prepose's “Indayog” piece claimed the grandest prize and recognition in the awarding ceremony of the 2023 Aliwan Fiesta photo competition at Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila on October 28.

Prepose got first place behind his shot taken during Aliwan Fiesta's comeback last July this year following a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He bagged 50,000 pesos and his work was exhibited, alongside other winners' photos, during the 36th Anniversary of the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) held on the same day and venue.

Arturo de Vera Jr.ʼs Fish came second and McLloyd Jumpay's Regal Jubilation placed third to earn the cash prizes of 25,000 pesos and 10,000 pesos, respectively.

Other participants who made it to the final 10 and will bring home 2,000 pesos are Khadaffy Manaog (Dancing Queens), Mark Anthony Amande (Joyful Dancer), Andrew Magturo (Graceful Devotion), John Quineth Rodriguez (Faithful to the Native Beat), Mark Lyndon Aguila (Viva Sto. Niño), Rhome Salas (Leap of Faith), and Dewey Sergio (Whirlwind).

Winners who weren't present can still claim their prizes in the Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) office in Pasay City.

Photography experts Romy Vitug, George Tapan, and Wig Tysman served as contest judges.

Yes the Best jock Biboy Bibo hosted the awarding ceremony under the guidance of John Carl Galang and MBC's Ad-Promo team, with a special live performance from Biboy's fellow Yes DJ Ganda Wanda.
