Aliwan Fiesta Highlights: Dinagyang Festival wins Tugtog ng Aliwan, Now Trending: The Pasakalye Concert hits high notes
The streets of CCP were filled with energy as Aliwan Fiesta kicks off its 3-day event with the rhythmic beats of Tugtog ng Aliwan contingents and a musical extravaganza with talented artists on Now Trending: The Pasakalye Concert.
Hosted by Tanya Chinita of Love Radio Manila and Rico Panyero of Yes! FM Manila, drum beaters from the Aliwan Fiesta contingents showcased their skills in 'Tugtog ng Aliwan.' Among those who participated were Lakbayaw Festival of Manila, Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo, Bodong Festival of Rizal, Kalinga, Tultugan Festival of Iloilo, Meguyaya Festival of Upi, Maguindanao del Norte, Dinamulag Festival of Zambales, Panagkakadua-an Festival of San Felipe, Zambales, Cagsawa Festival of Daraga, Albay, and Hamaka Festival of Taytay, Rizal.
These performers brought to life the spirit of their respective festivals, captivating the audience with their cultural presentations and energetic performances.
As night fell, the celebration continued with "Now Trending: The Pasakalye Concert." Hosted by Conyo Bicolano and Robien Sienna of Love Radio Manila, the concert featured a lineup of talented artists who entertained the crowd with their popular hits.
Pinoy dance group, 'Auxbeat,' took the stage first and electrified the audience with their powerful dance performance.
Also gracing the event was the Pinoy boy band group Yes, My Love, who charmed the audience with their renditions of "Laging Naroon Ka," "Gisingin ang Puso," and "Ako na Lang."
Ryssi Avila, Idol Philippines' 1st runner-up also serenaded the crowd with OPM hit songs such as "Alipin," "Rainbow," and "Kilometro."
Arthur Miguel, a TikTok sensation, was also present and delighted the audience with his songs, 'Dati,' 'Maling Panahon,' and 'Liham.'
The celebration wrapped up with Dilaw taking the stage and performing their hit songs, including the TikTok sensation "Uhaw," much to the delight of their audience.
The festivities went beyond musical and dance performances with Shai and Raqi, supported by Bingo Plus, entertaining the crowd with games and prizes.
Another highlight of the evening was the awarding ceremony, recognizing the outstanding performances of the contingents in 'Tugtog ng Aliwan.'
Dinagyang Festival emerged as Bingo Plus awardee and this year's champion, taking home a total of PHP 125,000. Meanwhile, Tultugan Festival secured the 1st Runner-up position with PHP 50,000, and the Meguyaya Festival took home PHP 25,000 as the 2nd Runner-up.
Aliwan Fiesta Day 1 was a testament to the Philippines' unity in diversity, celebrating its rich heritage with passion. As the city embraced the festivities, the spirit of Aliwan Fiesta fostered a sense of pride among all who gathered to witness the best of the best!
